AMD’s Strix Halo architecture officially launched back in January of 2025, but products featuring the chip have been very slow to trickle out. I finally got my hands on their latest chip in the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, the flagship APU featuring 16-Cores of Zen 5 CPU, along with 40 Compute Units of RDNA 3.5 Graphics Processing. But the biggest feature is the unified memory, as both the CPU and GPU can dynamically share up to 128GB of LPDDR5x Quad-Channel memory.
