Today, major news dropped from Broadcom with the expansion of the VMware Cloud Foundation portfolio of products. It seems that Broadom has finally listened to customers on VMware licensing to an extent. They have brought back vSphere Standard and vSphere Enterprise Plus licensing for those that don’t want VMware vSphere Foundation or VMware Cloud Foundation. They have also significantly bumped up the vSAN storage you get per core by 2.5x, so now 250 GB per core.
