I spent the better part of 15 years as an IT Manager, and a large portion of that job was designing and maintaining PCs for clients. I was recently asked to spec out a set of five workstations for a CAD/3D Printing Makerspace. And while it’s even my gut instinct to build a tower PC with a discrete graphics card, AMD’s Mobile APUs have eliminated the need for full desktops in most use cases. Rather than full towers, today I’m putting together five Mini PCs from Minisforum in the UM890 Pro.
