I have never been much of a fan of Ultrawide monitors when it comes to actual work. Don’t get me wrong, they’re amazing for gaming, but I’ve always felt the resolution and aspect are all wrong for actually getting things done. Terminal windows are too short, webpages are too wide, and anything fullscreen wastes a full 1/3 of your screen.
When Dell reached out about reviewing their all new 52″ 6K Ultrawide… I actually blew them off at first. Sure it’s bigger, but likely has all the same problems as 34-Inch panels. But after using it, I couldn’t have been more wrong. If you are a multi-monitor user by necessity, the Dell U5226KW might be the one panel that can rule them all.
But first…. oh wait… just coffee today.
